EDUCATIONAL AND METHODOLOGICAL COUNCIL is created by the Order of the Rector and is one of the collegial governing bodies of the University.
The main tasks of the EDUCATIONAL AND METHODOLOGICAL COUNCIL are:
- methodological support and improvement of the educational process of the university;
- organization of monitoring of the quality of methodological support and analysis of the content of the educational process of the university;
- summarization and dissemination of best practices within the framework of the section of the council meeting “Methodological hour“;
- coordination of the work of educational and methodological associations at the academic schools of the university;
- organization of work and analysis of the introduction of new and improvement of existing technologies, methods, teaching aids at the university;
- development of proposals on issues of development of the educational process of the university and the formation of priority areas in its implementation.
The main areas of activity of the EDUCATIONAL AND METHODOLOGICAL COUNCIL are:
- Carrying out events on generalization and dissemination of advanced pedagogical experience;
- Consideration of the organization of work on the annual formation of the contingent of students taking into account the profile, level of training and capabilities;
- Implementation of monitoring of the provision of the educational process with methodological developments;
- Analysis of the quality of teaching, the level of educational achievements of students;
- Organization and holding of thematic seminars, meetings on improving educational and methodological work (the format of conducting classes, developing methodological documentation, publishing textbooks and teaching aids);
- Consideration of issues of introducing various forms of methodological work aimed at improving the educational and methodological and educational process and providing advisory and practical assistance to the teaching staff;
- Consideration of issues of development and examination of control materials for all types of control of students’ knowledge;
- Consideration of issues of educational and methodological support of SROs and SROP;
- Coordination and approval of annual activity plans of educational and methodological associations of academic schools;
- Issues of development and examination of test assignments and other forms of control of students’ knowledge;
- Discussion and development of proposals for the application of innovative teaching methods and control of students’ knowledge.
The EDUCATIONAL AND METHODOLOGICAL COUNCIL includes the Chairman of the Council – Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, department directors, heads of academic schools and structural divisions, representatives of the teaching staff, student and public organizations of the University, employers.
The EDUCATIONAL AND METHODOLOGICAL COUNCIL of the University organizes its work on the basis of the approved work plan for the academic year.
Meetings of the EDUCATIONAL AND METHODOLOGICAL COUNCIL are held at least once every two months, in accordance with the approved work plan for the relevant academic year, and, if necessary, are held unscheduled.
