TYPES OF BACHELOR’S DEGREE PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE

EDUCATIONAL PRACTICE

Educational practice is a type of professional practice conducted in all educational programs of secondary education for 2nd year bachelor’s degree students, during which the educational and practical content of the educational process is combined at the very beginning of the formation of a future specialist within the framework of some basic disciplines.

The purpose of educational practice is the acquisition of primary professional competencies, including the consolidation and deepening of theoretical knowledge obtained in the learning process, the formation of initial research skills, business correspondence skills, the acquisition of practical skills and work skills in accordance with the educational program.

The main objectives of educational practice:

• familiarization with the main areas of the university’s activities;
• familiarization with the educational program;
• general acquaintance with the organizational and legal form, structure, management system of organizations that are the objects of the future profession;
• study of the types, functions and tasks of future professional activity;
• study of business correspondence and office work, etc.

INDUSTRIAL PRACTICE

Industrial practice is a type of professional practice aimed at consolidating theoretical knowledge in basic and specialized cycles of disciplines by performing the duties of a specialist in real production conditions.

Industrial practice is conducted for students of all educational programs of the 3rd year of the bachelor’s degree, as well as in the specialized master’s program in the cycle of the major discipline.

The purpose of industrial practice is to consolidate the theoretical knowledge obtained during the training process, to acquire practical skills, competencies and experience of professional activity in the studied educational program, as well as to master advanced experience.

The main objectives of industrial practice:

• studying the types of professional activities, their functions and tasks;
• consolidating theoretical knowledge and developing professional skills, abilities and competencies on this basis;
• mastering innovative technologies, advanced methods of work and production;
• acquiring organizational and professional experience;
• acquiring teamwork skills, competencies of corporate management principles;
• mastering the ability to independently plan your activities, establish useful contacts with colleagues, determine a role professional position, develop a sense of responsibility, etc.

PRE-DIPLOMA PRACTICE

Pre-diploma practice is a type of professional practice conducted before the start of diploma design. Pre-graduation practice is conducted in all educational programs for final-year bachelor’s degree students.

The purpose of pre-graduation practice is for the student to collect the necessary material, prepare, write and complete the thesis (project), the content of which is determined by the topic of the final qualifying work (project).

The main tasks of pre-graduation practice:

• collecting, processing and summarizing practical material on the topic of the thesis (project);
• analysis of statistical data and practical material on the topic of the thesis;
• formulating conclusions, patterns, recommendations and proposals on the topic of the thesis (project);
• formulating the thesis (project) in accordance with established requirements.

As a rule, the supervisor of the thesis (project) supervises pre-graduation practice.

The results of pre-graduation practice are summarized at the preliminary defense of the diploma thesis (project) with the assignment of points. The preliminary defense of the diploma thesis (project) is held at a meeting of the School Academic Committee and is documented in a protocol.

TYPES OF MASTER’S PROGRAM PRACTICE

SCIENTIFIC AND PEDAGOGICAL DIRECTION

The educational program of the scientific and pedagogical master’s program includes two types of practice, which are carried out in parallel with theoretical training or in a separate period:

5. pedagogical;
5. research –at the place of completion of the dissertation.

TEAGOGICAL PRACTICE

Teaching practice is carried out with the aim of developing practical skills in teaching and learning methods.

Teaching practice is usually carried out in aacademic school in the direction of training personnel to consolidate theoretical knowledge are allowed to conduct practical classes in the bachelor’s degree.

The main tasks of pedagogical practice:

During pedagogical practice, tasks are solved aimed at the formation, improvement and systematization of knowledge:

• on global trends in the development of education and modernization of higher and postgraduate education in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• on modern pedagogical theories and educational technologies of teaching and upbringing at the university;
• on innovative forms of organization and management of the educational process of higher education;
• on the psychological foundations of teaching and education of future specialists.

RESEARCH PRACTICE

Research practice of a master’s student is carried out with the aim of familiarizing with the latest theoretical, methodological and technological achievements of Kazakhstani and foreign science, modern methods of scientific research, processing and interpretation of experimental data.

The main objectives of research practice:

• mastering modern methods of organizing and conducting research/experimental research work;
• mastering modern methods of data analysis and interpretation;
• collecting factual material for the preparation of a dissertation;
• developing professional competencies necessary for effective independent research activities in the chosen field of scientific and/or practical activity;
• developing in master’s and doctoral students a creative, research-based approach to professional activity, the need for continuous self-education.

The content of research (industrial) practice is determined by the topic of the dissertation (project) research.

The educational program of the specialized master’s degree includes industrial practice.

INDUSTRIAL PRACTICE

Industrial practice in the PD cycle is carried out with the aim of consolidating theoretical knowledge obtained during the training process, acquiring practical skills, competencies and experience of professional activity in the taught educational program of the master’s degree, as well as mastering advanced experience.
