Founded in 1991 and one of the first higher education institutions in the new formation based on commercial initiatives in independent Kazakhstan, Kainar University continues its work today as Kainar Academy since October 2014.
In 1991, 44 students were admitted to the Kazakh language, Pedagogy and Psychology specialties for the first time, and in 1992, 56 students were admitted to the International Relations, International Economic Relations, and International Law specialties. The curricula for these new specialties were developed based on the State Standard of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Kainar Academy implements educational activities on the basis of license No. KZ11LAA00003786.
Kainar Academy has special requirements for personnel potential. The concentration of the best intellectual potential and practical specialists in the Academy allows providing students with relevant and high-quality education. Therefore, the analysis of the quantitative and qualitative composition of the teaching staff, taking into account the regulatory requirements for its staff and scientific qualifications, is under the constant attention of the management of the Kainar Academy.
The institutional policy of teaching staff management is implemented within the framework of such principles as a democratic approach to the management of the teaching staff and employees of the academy, combining the interests of the management staff and the managed subsystem, accessibility of management, maintaining balance, creating a climate and atmosphere of initiative and creativity, stimulating the activities of the teaching staff, and professional and personal improvement of personnel. The Kainar Academy Development Program was approved by the Academic Council of the academy (Minutes 6/54 of 28.01.2020). The Kainar Academy Development Program is aimed at achieving a high level of development through the implementation of the goals and objectives set by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the development of higher and postgraduate education in the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is obvious that the messages and unique strategies of the President of the country Kassym-Jomart Kemelovich Tokayev play an important role in achieving the goals set. External factors include: the level of preparation of graduates, the opinion of employers on the subjects taught; the presence of vacancies in the labor market; due to the development of new technologies, the market requires the displacement of established professions, qualification requirements change, which leads to the emergence of new areas of specialization, the qualification of personnel: degree, level of advanced training; the level of publication activity: textbooks, teaching aids, monographs, impact factor articles, BSEC, international conferences.
The policy of ensuring the quality of educational programs is reflected in the initiative scientific research approved by the National Center for State Scientific and Technical Expertise. In order to form certain competencies in students, teachers use innovative teaching methods focused on practice: group discussion method, portfolio, mixed questionnaire, small group teaching method, presentations.
Innovative teaching methods are aimed at the maximum formation of knowledge and skills of students, they are responsible for a specific professional orientation and the results of the educational process. To demonstrate the lecture material, video materials created by each teaching staff are widely used. The classrooms are equipped with the necessary multimedia equipment.
The classrooms are fully equipped with interactive boards, screens and projectors. The “1C-Accounting” curriculum, equipped with 10 copies of software, is used. Due to the constant equipping of classrooms and laboratories with interactive equipment, the share of classes conducted using interactive and innovative teaching methods has increased.
The management of the “Kainar” Academy organizes advanced training courses for teaching staff.
In accordance with the contract with the University of Vissen (Sweden), PhD, Dr. Tunsai Sevendik gave a lecture to students and teaching staff of the “Kainar” Academy on issues of distance learning technology and blockchain technology in the educational process. The department has students from near abroad, in connection with which, in order to successfully adapt foreign students to the conditions and requirements of the educational process at the Academy and reduce the likelihood of problems and conflicts, a “Program for Adapting Foreign Students to the Conditions and Requirements of the Educational Process at the Kainar Academy” has been developed.
The program for adapting and supporting foreign students at the Kainar Academy provides for the following activities:
visa support and registration with the Migration Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
familiarization with the rules of entry/exit and stay in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
familiarization with the rules for accepting foreign students into higher education institutions of Kazakhstan;
explanation of the procedure for nostrification of education documents;
familiarization with the educational process at the Academy;
