Academic School Centers

Goal of the Institute of Psychology at the Academic School “Psychology and Journalism”

To improve the efficiency and quality of the educational process, fully utilizing intellectual, material, and informational resources for training specialists and conducting scientific research in priority areas of education and science development.

Main Tasks of the Institute

  1. Meeting the needs of individuals in intellectual, cultural, and moral development through higher and postgraduate professional education.
  2. Meeting the needs of society and the state for qualified specialists with higher education in the specialties and areas that define the Institute’s profile.
  3. Extensive use of the results of research and innovation activities in the scientific work of students and master’s students.

Main Areas of the Institute’s Activity

The Institute carries out:

a) cooperation with educational and scientific institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other foreign countries;

b) organization, hosting, and participation in scientific meetings, symposia, and conferences, including international ones;

c) organization and holding of student and school scientific conferences, reviews, competitions, and olympiads;

d) annual analysis of its activities.

The Institute makes recommendations to the Rector of the Academy on:

  1. a) opening new specialties and specializations;

b) formation of a strategic plan;

  1. c) awarding academic and honorary titles to the Institute’s employees;

d) awarding Institute employees with state and Academy awards.

Scientific and innovative activities of the Institute are carried out through the academic school “Psychology and Journalism”.

S.M. Zhakupov Center

On May 15, 2019, a psychological center named after Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Satybaldy Mukatayuly Zhakypov was established at the Department of Psychology, Pedagogy, and Social Sciences of Kainar Academy.
The S.M. Zhakupov Psychological Center was opened with the aim of developing the professional culture of psychologists, enhancing their effective professional activities, motivating personal and professional growth, and fostering professional thinking in psychology.

A collection of materials from the international scientific-methodological conference dedicated to the birthday of Professor Satybaldy Mukatayuly Zhakypov, academician of KazNU and Doctor of Psychological Sciences, titled “Trends in the Development of Modern Ethnopsychology: History, Situation and Future,” was also published.

Every year, on the occasion of Professor S.M. Zhakypov’s birthday, scientific-practical (methodological) conferences, seminars, and round tables are held.

The goal of the Center for Modern Psychotechnologies and Practical Psychology is to coordinate, ensure, and conduct scientific research, educational activities, and psychological support for participants in educational relations in priority areas of psychological science, practice, and technologies. All seminars and training sessions offered by the Center are practical in nature. This format promotes effective development of professional skills.

Center Tasks:

  1. Publishing obtained data in leading domestic and foreign journals with a focus on major academic trends, journal impact factor indicators, and relevance to the researched scientific fields, as well as integrating results into educational-methodological developments and professional manuals.
  2. Creating educational products in the field of psychology and modern technologies in psychology and related disciplines for students, graduate students, and researchers in the relevant field.
  3. Enhancing the image of psychological science and increasing the relevance and applicability of modern technologies in psychology through the organization of specialized events (trainings, olympiads, conferences, master classes).
  4. Providing educational services by organizing training courses, lessons, lectures for students and graduate students; advanced training cycles for professionals with psychological and other educational backgrounds.
  5. Commercialization of scientific, educational, and practical activity results.
