On April 28, 2025, the Academic School “Law” successfully completed the subject Olympiad in Law for 11th grade schoolchildren of Almaty and the Almaty region.
The purpose of the event was to develop students’ interest in legal sciences, improve legal literacy and career guidance work among high school students.
The Olympiad was organized with the support of the Department of Science and Assistance and the Admissions Committee of the University.
Total number of registered participants: 28 schoolchildren.
Olympiad stages:
1st round – essay writing (online format)
2nd round – testing on the basics of law (at the university)
Final stage – solving legal cases (at the university)
12 schoolchildren who passed the 1st qualifying round took part in the 2nd round and the final stage.
Essay topics, test assignments and practical tasks were developed by teachers of the Law School and corresponded to the school curriculum and university-level elements.
The winners of the Olympiad were determined in the final round. The winners of the Olympiad received certificates providing benefits when entering the university.
After the end of the Olympiad, a sightseeing tour of the university was organized for the schoolchildren, where the children were introduced to the traditions of the university, the educational process, the conditions created and the student life of the students.
The participants noted the high level of organization, interesting tasks and a warm atmosphere at the university site.
