On March 20, 2025, a guest lecture was held for students of the Academic School “Law” organized jointly with the employees of the Department of Economic Investigations of the Almaty Region.
The event was aimed at improving legal literacy and familiarization with the practical aspects of combating economic crimes.
The event was attended by qualified specialists of the Department of Economic Investigations of the Almaty Region: Adilbekov Dauren Temirtaevich – Deputy of the 2nd Investigative Department of the DER, Aglakov Berik Amangalievich – employee of the 2nd Operational Department for Particularly Important Cases, Erkinkyzy Meruert – employee of the Organizational and Control Department for Particularly Important Cases, Adyrbaeva Ainur Dalalovna – chief specialist of the Administrative Department.
During the meeting, the department’s specialists spoke about the key areas of their activities, revealed methods for identifying financial fraud, corruption schemes and illegal enrichment. Particular attention was paid to current challenges in the field of economic security, as well as legislative mechanisms for their prevention.
Students had the opportunity to ask questions of interest, discuss real examples of investigations and learn about career prospects in this area. The lecture contributed to the formation of a deep understanding of the work of law enforcement agencies in the field of financial crimes among future specialists and to the strengthening of cooperation between educational institutions and government agencies.
