Step 2. Taking the UNT
Since 2019, the Unified National Testing (UNT) has been conducted 4 times a year for admission to higher and postgraduate education organizations (hereinafter - HPEO / "Q"UNIVERSITY) on a paid basis (admission periods - January, March, June-July, August).
The threshold score for admission to "Q" UNIVERSITY is 50 points, for the training direction «7М042 Law» - at least 75 points. At the same time, it is necessary to score at least 5 points in History of Kazakhstan and two specialized UNT subjects and (or) creative exam, and at least 3 points in Reading Literacy and Mathematical Literacy subjects.
5 main subjects are taken: three mandatory and two specialized.

Comprehensive Testing Rules
The CT consists of the following tests:
- a foreign language test or a certificate confirming foreign language proficiency,
- a test on the profile of the educational program group,
- a test to determine readiness for study.
Applicants to master's programs take comprehensive testing, which includes a foreign language test (English, German, or French), a test on the profile of educational program groups, and a test in Kazakh or Russian (by choice) to determine readiness for study.
Applicants to master's programs taught in English take comprehensive testing that includes a test on the profile of educational program groups in English and, by choice, a test in Kazakh or Russian or English to determine readiness for study.
Applicants to master's programs in educational program groups requiring knowledge of Arabic take an entrance exam in Arabic and comprehensive testing (CT), which includes a test to determine readiness for study and a test on the profile of educational program groups, by choice in Kazakh or Russian.
1) comprehensive testing including a foreign language test (English, German, French at choice) and, by choice, a test in Kazakh or Russian to determine readiness for study;
2) two creative exams on the profile of educational program groups.
Minimum passing score for admission to master's programs based on comprehensive testing (100-point scale): at least 25 points, including at least 7 points for the readiness-for-study test; for the educational program group profile test: with single-correct-answer — at least 7 points; with one or multiple correct answers — at least 7 points.
For educational program groups requiring creative preparation, the minimum passing score: at least 50 points, including foreign language — at least 25 points, readiness-for-study — at least 7 points, and each creative exam — at least 7 points. The maximum per creative exam is 35 points.
For groups requiring knowledge of Arabic, based on the Arabic entrance exam and CT: at least 50 points; Arabic — at least 25 points; profile test (single-correct-answer) — at least 7; profile test (one or multiple correct answers) — at least 7; readiness-for-study — at least 7.
Admission under the state educational order is competitive and granted to applicants with the highest scores based on CT and/or entrance and/or creative exams:
1) for scientific-pedagogical and professional master's programs taught in Kazakh or Russian, including groups requiring creative preparation — at least 75 points;
2) for master's programs taught in English — at least 50 points.
Applications for CT registration are accepted online via the Testing Center website at the link: app.testcenter.kz.
Step 3. Application submission to "Q" UNIVERSITY based on UNT results
Admission to master's programs at "Q" UNIVERSITY is carried out based on applicants' applications on a competitive basis in accordance with certificate scores.
COMPREHENSIVE EXAM PROGRAM BASED ON PREREQUISITE COMPLETION RESULTS FOR TRAINING DIRECTION 7М042-LAW
For admission to master's programs in the "Law" direction, a comprehensive exam is conducted based on prerequisite completion results.

Information about Creative Exam
For admission to EP «7М03201 Journalism», two creative exams are taken:
- Written (essay)
- Oral (interview)
For admission to EP «7М03201 — Journalism», the applicant must score at least 5 points in each subject of reading literacy and History of Kazakhstan on UNT. In addition, the applicant must score at least 5 points in each of the creative exams.
