About the School

The School of Law was established in 2012 based on the Faculty of International Law, which had been operating since 1992 as one of the structural divisions of Q University, whose successor since December 2014 has been Q University.

Q University was founded in 1991 and became one of the first multidisciplinary higher education institutions of a social and humanitarian orientation of a new formation, based on commercial principles in independent Kazakhstan.

At the origins of the faculty, along with the rector of Q University, academician of KazNAES, Ph.D., Professor E.S. Omarov, stood such famous legal scholars as academician of NAS RK, Doctor of Law, Professor S.N. Sabikenov, academician of NAS RK, Doctor of Law, Professor M.T. Baimakhanov, academician of NAS RK, Doctor of Law, Professor G.S. Sapargaliyev, and other outstanding lawyers.

School Goal

Formation of conditions and organization of the educational process in which future specialists receive not only theoretical knowledge but also form a case of practical skills and abilities of a wide range of directions and forms of professional activity.

Achievements

Over the years of the school's existence, more than 12,000 specialists in international law, jurisprudence, and law have been graduated.

History

The first graduation of the law faculty took place in 1997 - 46 graduates received the qualification 'International Lawyer with Foreign Language Knowledge'.

To support production and organize practice-oriented learning, the faculty organizes guest lectures on studied subjects with the participation of practicing lawyers.

Practical Classes

Seminar classes are held in institutions of practical significance in Almaty city to reveal the relevance and content of studied disciplines.

Team Building

At the beginning of the academic year, an outdoor holiday is organized for all freshmen - team building at the Tabagan mountain resort with the participation of more than 500 students.
