Life Expectancy and Its Quality in Kazakhstan: Integrated Analysis and Forecast for the Future
Description
The study of life expectancy is necessary to examine in more detail and depth the causes affecting it and determine the boundaries of the relationship with quality of life, including such factors as demography, healthcare, correlation with GDP levels, and social issues. The project plans to examine the situation in regional, sectoral, professional, and gender dimensions. This is all important for the future socio-economic development of Kazakhstan, since a demographic boom is occurring in the Central Asian region and Kazakhstan needs to preserve and increase its population to develop all regions of the country. Research on the relationship between life expectancy and quality of life plays a critical role in resolving many key socio-economic problems related to structural changes in population health. In the future, the identified patterns, trends, and features will make it possible to avoid undesirable negative situations and ensure socio-economic stability in the country. Government and local management bodies will have the opportunity to take appropriate preventive measures.
Goal
The goal of the project is to conduct an integrative analysis and assess the relationship between quality of life and its duration, provide a forecast for the future reflecting the characteristics of life expectancy in Kazakhstan.
Expected Results:
- •Study of theoretical and methodological approaches to solving the problem of the relationship between life expectancy and quality of life.
- •Study of international experience and development features in Kazakhstan related to life expectancy, including key factors that can influence its condition.
- •Study of the institutional basis of life expectancy and its quality in Kazakhstan.
- •Assessment of life expectancy status considering GDP levels.
- •Assessment of life expectancy status considering expenditures on quality of life indicators (healthcare, education, sports, etc.).
- •Assessment of life expectancy status in regions considering indicators of sectoral, professional, and gender development.
- •Development of a forecast of life expectancy levels considering the influence of the most significant socio-economic factors.
- •Improvement of mechanisms of the socio-economic block to increase life expectancy levels in Kazakhstan.
- •Adaptation of mechanisms of the organizational and legal block to increase life expectancy levels in Kazakhstan.
Motherhood at the Crossroads: Problems of Protecting the Rights of Migrant Mothers (Experience of Kazakhstan and International Standards)
Description
The project is dedicated to an important socio-legal issue - protecting the rights of migrant mothers in Kazakhstan in the context of international standards. Research on the legal status of migrant mothers is of key importance for ensuring the protection of their rights and interests, as well as for facilitating their social adaptation and integration into the new society. This knowledge allows human rights organizations, social workers, and legislators to develop more effective support measures and policies aimed at reducing legal and social barriers faced by migrant women, especially in matters of parenthood and child protection.
Goal
The goal of the project is to improve the legislative and practical basis ensuring the protection of the rights and interests of migrant mothers in accordance with the international obligations of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Achieving the project's goal will, in turn, contribute to strengthening social justice and improving the quality of life of migrant families in Kazakhstan.
Achievement of the project goal is possible through solving the following logically interconnected, sequential tasks:
1) Research of theoretical and legal problems of mother migration, including:
- •Research of feminization of migration as a theoretical and legal phenomenon, identification of the influence of migration on women and female migration on society;
- •Analysis of the legal content of the concepts "woman-mother" and "mother-migrant" in international and Kazakhstani law; classification of female migration;
- •Identification of stages of the migration process of a migrant mother; study of the relationship between the rights of mother and child in the migration process;
2) Analysis of practical problems of migrant mothers in Kazakhstan, including:
- •Identification and assessment of problems faced by migrant women in Kazakhstan in the context of exercising and protecting maternal rights;
- •Conducting surveys and interviews with migrant mothers to identify the most pressing problems they face and ways to solve them;
- •Collection and analysis of statistical data on the number and socio-economic status of migrant mothers in Kazakhstan to determine main trends and challenges;
- •Analysis of the legal status of migrant mothers in Kazakhstan, including study of national legislation and practice of its application;
3) Study of global standards, international experience and best practices for protecting migrant mothers, including:
- •Research of international standards and treaties concerning the rights of women and children, in particular, the rights of migrant mothers, as well as assessment of the degree of their integration into national legislation of Kazakhstan;
- •Comparative analysis of problems of access of migrant mothers to information about rights, medical care, including during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period;
- •Study of best practices and experience of other countries in the field of protecting the rights of migrant mothers with the aim of developing recommendations for the Kazakhstani legal system;
4) Development of proposals and recommendations for improving the state mechanism of support for migrant mothers, including:
- •Active interaction with relevant institutions and expert community for deep understanding of problems related to protecting the rights of migrant mothers;
- •Development of recommendations for government bodies on positive changes in the situation of migrant mothers in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- •Development of recommendations for non-governmental and public organizations on improving the legal culture and awareness of migrant mothers in the sphere of human rights, children's rights, education, access to medical care, protection from gender-based violence and human trafficking;
- •Development of proposals for improving mechanisms of legal and social support for migrant mothers in Kazakhstan, ensuring social justice and strengthening the legal foundations of motherhood in the migration context, including through amendments to existing legislation and practice of its implementation.
