On December 3, 2025, third-year students of the Russian Department of the Law program held a show trial on the topic: "Court Proceedings: Divorce, Determining Children's Place of Residence, Collecting Alimony, and Dividing Jointly Acquired Property." The event was organized and moderated by Maria Sovetovna Zhumaeva, a senior lecturer at the school.

The event was attended by faculty of the Academic School of Law and third-year students of the Russian and Kazakh Departments.

It is important to emphasize that the chosen topic: divorce, alimony, and division of property, reflects one of the most common categories of civil disputes.

The instructors noted the high level of preparation of all participants. The students demonstrated a deep understanding of family law, clearly articulated their positions, and skillfully used evidence and legal norms. Their presentations demonstrated their ability to conduct reasoned dialogue, defend their clients' interests, and effectively interact with opponents—qualities essential to the work of a professional lawyer.

Events such as these allow students to not only study theory but also see how legal norms come to life in a real courtroom, which arguments prove persuasive, how a courtroom argument is structured, and how the court reaches a fair and just decision.

We wish all participants in this show trial continued success, new professional achievements, and courage in mastering legal science. May today's presentation become a step toward future victories in real legal practice.
