Roundtable Discussion: "Lawyer of the Future and Education"

On January 16, 2026, the Academic School "Law" held a roundtable discussion entitled "Lawyer of the Future: From Knowledge to Competencies." The event provided a unique platform for dialogue between the educational community and the professional community of Kazakhstan and neighboring countries.

The event went beyond a formal discussion, evolving into a constructive brainstorming session with the participation of leading scholars of the Republic of Uzbekistan: O.Z. Mukhamedzhanov, Doctor of Law, Professor at Tashkent State Law University; F.U. Yusupova, PhD, Ministry of Justice; N.E. Gafurova, Professor at the Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training of Legal Personnel; A.B. Gulimov, Professor at Karakalpak State University; and representatives of employers: E.A. Altayeva, Attorney at the Kyzylorda Bar Association; and B.A. Aitzhan. – General Director of Global Professional Development LLP, A.G. Shidemova – Almaty City Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Esbulatov, as well as faculty from higher education institutions in Kazakhstan and our students.

The meeting resulted in a specific agreement to create a joint working group to update curricula and implement project-based learning formats with the participation of employer partners.
