ByAdministrator9/11/2025

On August 22, 2025, Q University hosted an interdisciplinary roundtable on the topic:

“Family Values and Marital Stability: Legal and Psychological Aspects, Prevention and Solutions to Crisis Situations.”

The event, jointly organized by the Academic Schools of LawPsychology and Journalism, and the Training Center Global Professional Development (headed by PhD in Law Aitzhan B.E.), became a vivid example of the integration of educational, research, and practical activities of the university.

The educational and scientific significance of the event included:

  • Synthesis of knowledge: The roundtable provided a unique opportunity for students and faculty to examine a pressing social issue through the lens of two academic disciplines — law and psychology — thereby fostering the development of an interdisciplinary approach in education.
  • Connection with practice: The discussion involved not only leading university scholars but also practicing experts, which enabled students to gain access to real professional cases and advanced expertise.
  • Development of soft skills: The event served as a platform for students to enhance critical thinking, communication skills, and the ability to conduct professional dialogue on complex social issues.

Participants of the roundtable included:

  • Moderator: Maksatov N.R. — PhD, private lawyer, public figure, blogger;
  • Invited experts: professional psychologist Batyrkhanuly T. and Kozhalymov A.Z., President of the NGO International Association of Traditional Medicine Specialists, Psychologists, and Healers;
  • University faculty: Yerkinbekova M.A., Bidaishieva A.B., Satanova L.M., Bektursyn M., Turuntaeva A.A.;
  • Public representatives, as well as undergraduate and graduate students of relevant academic programs.

Practical outcomes of the roundtable, directly linked to the university’s educational and methodological work, will include the publication of a collection of materials and the development of methodological guidelines in the DOGMAjournal. These materials will be integrated into the educational process for use in law and psychology courses, enriching academic programs with relevant and up-to-date content.

Hosting such an event strengthens the role of the university not only as an educational institution but also as an expert and analytical center making a tangible contribution to addressing important social issues.
