Participation of Students in the VI Annual International Conference “Counteracting Corruption in the Context of Institutional Reforms and Globalization: Compliance, Legislation and Anti-Corruption Education”
On February 27, 2026, 2nd- and 4th-year students of the 6B042 “Law” program took part in the VI Annual International Conference entitled “Counteracting Corruption in the Context of Institutional Reforms and Globalization: Compliance, Legislation and Anti-Corruption Education,” held at AlmaU — AlmaU (Almaty Management University).
The purpose of the conference was to conduct a comprehensive analysis of modern mechanisms for combating corruption in the context of institutional reforms and globalization processes, as well as to develop practical recommendations for improving compliance systems, anti-corruption legislation, and educational programs.
The following 4th-year students delivered presentations and initiative proposals: Ilyar Alimzhanov, Alibek Asanov, Viktoria Wagner, Kamila Aubakirova; 2nd-year students: Ali Aliya, Yerassyl Nurkassym, Olzhas Abdimälik, Arnur Bakkeldi. The academic supervisor was Zaure Maksutovna Samoldykova, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor of the Academic School of Law.
Following the presentations, a formal award ceremony was held during which the participants were presented with certificates. Words of appreciation and gratitude were expressed to the academic supervisor, Z.M. Samoldykova, for her high level of academic supervision and preparation of the speakers.
In conclusion, the organizers emphasized the special role of anti-corruption education as the foundation for developing legal culture and professional responsibility, expressing confidence that the proposals developed would be implemented in practice and contribute to the development of an effective and transparent governance system.
