On October 8, 2024, the Department of Science and Cooperation, together with the Academic School of General Education, organized a lecture on the topic “German Unification 1990 — a Critical Inventory”
The lecture was delivered by Professor Bodo Lochmann, Dr. Sc.oec., from the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz, Germany.
The event attracted significant interest from both students and faculty, drawing a large audience.
Professor Lochmann provided a detailed analysis of the German unification process in 1990, focusing on both the political and economic aspects of this historic event. Special attention was given to a critical evaluation of the unification’s consequences for different regions of the country, as well as the challenges faced by the newly unified state.
The lecture was conducted in an open-dialogue format, allowing participants to ask questions and discuss current topics related to the history and economy of unified Germany.
