On February 21, 2025, the Academic School of Business and Management at “Q University” held an extended roundtable discussion on the topic “Collaboration Between Business and Universities in Professional Education: New Trends”
Modern business cannot be imagined without qualified specialists — human capital remains the key resource for implementing innovative ideas. During the roundtable, participants discussed current changes in Kazakhstan’s education system, the causes of emerging challenges, and the goals facing students and the university’s partner organizations.
Opening the session, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, and Member of the Board of Trustees of “Q University,” A.A. Satybaldin, emphasized the importance of dialogue between universities and the business community in improving the quality of professional education.
The roundtable, held in the ZOOM format, featured the following speakers:
- Dinara Nurgaliyevna Akynbekova – Candidate of Economic Sciences, Director of the Department of Business Regulation, Managing Director of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken”;
- Tatyana Bronislavovna Klimova – Associate Professor at the Department of Service Marketing and Brand Management, University of Public Administration (Moscow, Russia);
- Guzaliya Salikhovna Klychova – Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Accounting and Auditing, Institute of Economics, Kazan State Agrarian University (Kazan, Russia).
As part of the event, N.E. Dabyltayeva, Head of the School of Educational Standards “Business and Management,” presented an analytical review of the educational programs for the 2025–2026 academic year, including their structure and elective course catalog.
The discussion on the challenges and prospects for developing educational programs included contributions from:
- I.V. Bogomazova – Head of Department, Belgorod National Research University (Russia);
- M.A. Otoshova – General Director of Allies Distribution;
- B.R. Kaziev – Head of the Department of Legal Entities;
- T.N. Komekbay – Head of Division, Freedom Bank Kazakhstan;
- as well as representatives of employers, partner universities, and colleges.
Following the roundtable, a series of proposals were adopted to improve the educational programs of the Academic School of Business and Management.
The event concluded with remarks by R.M. Ruzanov, Candidate of Economic Sciences and Vice-Rector for Research at “Q University,” who thanked all participants for their constructive dialogue and valuable recommendations.
