On April 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., a scientific seminar titled “Borrowings in Scientific Publications: The Culture of Citation” was held, conducted by Adlet Kariyev, Director of the Department of Science and Cooperation.
The seminar addressed important aspects of the proper use of borrowings in scientific works, as well as the culture of citation, which constitutes an integral part of academic ethics.
Adlet Kariyev provided a detailed explanation of citation rules, the differences between direct and indirect borrowings, and ways to avoid plagiarism and correctly reference sources.
The seminar proved highly beneficial for third- and fourth-year students, master’s students, and young faculty members, who received practical recommendations for improving the quality of their scientific publications. Participants actively engaged in discussions, asked questions, and shared their experiences.
