On April 14, 2025, the Academic School of Law organized and held the 7th International Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Issues of Legal Science and Education” as part of the celebration of Science Day in Kazakhstan.
The conference was dedicated to pressing issues of legal science and education in the context of digitalization, the transformation of legal institutions, and international cooperation.
The conference brought together scholars, professors, and practicing lawyers from Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, as well as faculty members from leading universities of Kazakhstan, including Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, D. Kunaev University, Korkyt Ata University (Kyzylorda), Buketov University (Karaganda), Sh. Yessenov Caspian University of Technology and Engineering (Aktau), I. Zhansugurov Zhetysu University (Taldykorgan), Khoja Ahmed Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University (Turkistan), and others.
Special guests of the conference were cadets of the Border Academy of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who participated under the guidance of Senior Officer of the Scientific Service Department G. E. Nurtasheva.
During the conference, participants discussed the need to introduce innovative approaches in legal education, identified priorities for the development of legal science amid global transformations, and formulated proposals for the modernization of national legislation.
Following the plenary session, the participants continued their work in sectional meetings devoted to the following areas:
- Current issues of criminal procedure and criminal law
- Current issues of constitutional law
- Current issues of environmental and land security
- Current issues of developing new technologies in education
As a result of the conference, an electronic collection of scientific papers was published, including more than 90 peer-reviewed articles. The collection is available in open access on the university’s official website.
