Mock Trial
As part of studying the disciplines “Criminal Procedure Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan” and “Civil Procedure Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, a mock trial was held for 3rd-year students majoring in 6B042 “Law”, conducted by senior lecturer of the School of Law Zh.S. Shalabayeva.
An invited expert at the event was Zhanna Utegenovna Bidanova, an attorney of the Almaty Bar Association, as well as faculty members of the academic school.
Conducting practical classes in the form of mock trials helps students develop the ability to apply law to real-life situations and fosters key professional skills such as teamwork, effective legal research and writing, building arguments, and public speaking. It also allows students to test their abilities in a simulated stressful environment and deepen their understanding of law.
