Kazakh students can receive a diploma from Seoul Cyber University

Today, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek visited Seoul Cyber University (SCU). During the meeting, the development of cooperation between higher education institutions of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea, expansion of interaction in the field of education, as well as the implementation of joint programs aimed at granting double diplomas were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the partnership of Seoul Cyber University with Q University, AHEU and MNU.

Currently, joint projects in the field of higher education are being implemented between SCU and three universities of Kazakhstan. Seoul Cyber University is developing double diploma programs in the 1+2+1 format, which provide for students to study at two universities. These programs are planned to be launched and further expanded in 2026-2027.

One of the main areas of cooperation is the implementation of a double diploma program with Q University in the educational program "Computer Science" (6В06102). Admission to Q University under this program will begin on June 20, 2026 and will continue until August 25.

The basis for the development of cooperation was the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Q University and Seoul Cyber University in September 2025. The document was signed in Seoul during a meeting with the participation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the President of Seoul Cyber University.

The Memorandum laid the foundation for the strategic partnership between the two universities in the field of higher education and the development of academic ties between Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea. Within the framework of the agreement, a joint double degree program in the direction of "Computer Science" is being implemented at the bachelor's level. The program will allow students to receive education in the academic environment of both universities, expand their international experience, and develop professional competencies in demand in the field of digital technologies.

The program was developed to provide students with the opportunity to gain international educational experience, access academic resources of both universities, and receive diplomas from Q University and Seoul Cyber University. Education is organized according to the 1+2+1 model: students study at Q University for the first and fourth years, and at Seoul Cyber University for the second and third years. This model allows students to study in two different academic environments, broaden their international experience, improve their professional skills, and prepare for work in the global digital economy.
