Introductory Visit of Students to Institution No. 10 of the Penal Enforcement System Department for Almaty Region and Zhetysu Region of the Penal Enforcement System Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Within the framework of the implementation of educational programs in the field of training 6B042 “Law”, an introductory visit and guided tour to Institution No. 10 of the Department of the Penal Enforcement System for the Almaty Region and Zhetysu Region of the Penal Enforcement System Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter — the Institution) was organized for second-year students.
On March 4, 2026, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor E.A. Umurzakov and Senior Lecturer R.K. Tanibergenova accompanied the students as part of an off-site training session.
During the excursion, the students became acquainted with the structure and main areas of activity of the Institution, the specific features of the detention regime for female convicts, the organization of educational and correctional work, as well as the specifics of the execution of sentences with respect to female convicts. Special attention was paid to the introduction of digital technologies into the activities of the penal enforcement system, in particular to the opportunities for convicts to receive education in an online format.
In addition, representatives of the Institution’s administration held a career guidance meeting with the students, during which they spoke about the specifics of service in the penal enforcement system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as about employment opportunities for graduates in the future.
The off-site educational event allowed students to expand their practical knowledge in the field of the execution of criminal penalties and to gain a clear understanding of the organization of serving sentences by convicts in places of deprivation of liberty.
