International Teleconference on Financial Literacy: “Legal Regulation of Insolvency (Bankruptcy) of Business Entities”
As part of the initiative of the Academic School of Business and Management and in line with the Presidential Address of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the “Қарызсыз қоғам” (“Debt-Free Society”) project, Q-University hosted an international academic event aimed at enhancing students’ financial literacy
The event was led by Associate Professor, PhD in Economics A.K. Beisenbayeva, who, together with second-year students, organized an international scientific and educational teleconference on the topic:
“Legal Regulation of Insolvency (Bankruptcy) of Business Entities.”
The teleconference was conducted in collaboration with the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
During the meeting, participants discussed a wide range of issues related to youth socialization and individualization, the digital environment, career and professional self-determination, as well as the integration of mediation and restorative practices into the educational space.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Aksana Albekovna Turgaeva, Associate Professor at the Department of Economic Security and Risk Management of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, delivered a presentation titled:
“The History of the Development of the Institution of Insolvency (Bankruptcy).”
Students actively participated by asking questions related to the main stages in the development of insolvency law, legal regulation of business insolvency, types of bankruptcy, and procedures applied in bankruptcy cases, receiving detailed and informative answers from the speaker.
The event served as a vivid example of effective international cooperation and contributed to the enhancement of students’ financial and legal literacy, strengthening their professional competencies in the fields of economics and management.
