International scientific and methodological conference “Psychotherapy and Psychological Counseling in the Modern Era” took place

The event was organized by Q University, the Kazakh Psychological Society (KPS), the Asian Federation of Psychotherapy, the All-Russian Professional Psychotherapeutic League, and the International Academy of Scientific Psychotherapy.

The plenary session was opened by Aisulu Janegizova, Rector of Q University, and Rashid Ruzanov, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation. Among the key speakers were Professor Alexander Katkov (Russia), Dr. Alena Chernova (Irkutsk), Associate Professor Lyazzat Komekbayeva and PhD in Psychology Saule Idileva (Kazakhstan), as well as experts from Uzbekistan and Belarus.

Presentations covered topics such as modern psychotechnologies, the use of artificial intelligence in psychological counseling, stress management, body-oriented approaches, and professional standards development.

On the same day, three thematic sections were held: “Achievements of Scientific Psychotherapy,” “Tektanu. Psychological Counseling,” and “Innovative Approaches in Psychotherapy and Counseling.” The discussions focused on crisis assistance for children, ethnocultural aspects of therapy, burnout prevention, development of emotional intelligence, and spiritual practices in client work.

The program concluded with master classes led by specialists from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan on cognitive-behavioral therapy, work with suicidal behavior, emotional-image therapy, and body-oriented techniques.

The conference concluded with a summary session emphasizing the strengthening of international collaboration in the field of psychotherapy and psychological counseling.
