International Lecture by a Doctor of Psychology from Complutense University (Madrid) at «Q» University»
On October 6, 2025, «Q» University» hosted an open lecture for students of the academic school “Psychology and Journalism,” delivered by Dr. Manuel Martínez Sanchos, a Doctor of Psychology from Complutense University (Madrid, Spain), a leading clinical psychologist, and an international expert in psychoanalysis.
Dr. Martínez Sanchos is a certified specialist by the Spanish Ministry of Education, a didactic analyst, and a supervisor of the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA) through the Madrid Psychoanalytical Association (APM). He is also a member of the International Research Group of Sándor Ferenczi, which unites scholars and practitioners from various countries.
The topic of the lecture was: “Contemporary Trends in Psychoanalysis and Clinical Psychology in Spain” During his presentation, the professor shared his clinical practice experience, discussed current directions in psychoanalysis, and highlighted the role of ethics and supervision in the training of psychologists, as well as the features of professional identity among specialists in Europe. Special attention was given to issues of stress resilience, empathy, self-reflection, and the psychologist’s responsibility to society—topics directly relevant to students of the “Psychology” and “Journalism” programs at «Q» University».
The meeting took place in a warm and intellectually engaging atmosphere.
Faculty and students had the opportunity to ask questions about professional training for psychologists in Spain, prospects for international internships, and the possibilities for «Q» University» to participate in international research projects in clinical and educational psychology.
The head of the academic school “Psychology and Journalism” noted that this lecture marked an important step in strengthening the academic partnership between «Q» University» and Complutense University of Madrid, as well as in promoting scientific and educational exchange in the fields of mental health, stress, and professional ethics.
