Guest Lecture by Representatives of the Department of Economic Investigations of the Almaty Region
On March 20, 2025, a guest lecture was held for students of the Academic School of Law, organized in collaboration with the Department of Economic Investigations of the Almaty Region.
The event aimed to enhance students’ legal literacy and familiarize them with the practical aspects of combating economic crimes.
The lecture featured qualified specialists from the Department of Economic Investigations of the Almaty Region, including:
Dauren Adilbekov, Deputy Head of the 2nd Investigative Division;
Berik Aglakov, Officer of the 2nd Operational Division for Special Cases;
Meruert Yerkinkyzy, Officer of the Organizational and Control Division for Special Cases;
Ainur Adyrbayeva, Chief Specialist of the Administrative Division.
During the session, the speakers discussed the key areas of the Department’s work, highlighting methods for detecting financial fraud, corruption schemes, and illicit enrichment. Particular attention was given to current challenges in the field of economic security and the legislative mechanisms designed to prevent them.
Students had the opportunity to ask questions, discuss real-life investigation examples, and learn about career prospects in this field. The lecture contributed to developing a deeper understanding among future professionals of the role of law enforcement agencies in combating financial crimes and strengthened cooperation between educational institutions and government bodies.
