On February 20, 2026, a guest lecture was held at the University featuring Doctor of Law, Professor, Academician, and member of the Working Group on Parliamentary Reform of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ibrayeva Alua Salamatovna, for students of the 6B042 “Law” academic program.
The topic of the meeting was: “The New Constitution: A Just Kazakhstan, a Society Committed to the Rule of Law.”
The speaker focused on the key ideas of the reforms: the transition to a more balanced system of governance, strengthening the role of Parliament, expanding citizens’ participation in decision-making, and reinforcing guarantees of human rights and freedoms.
It was emphasized that the goal of the reforms is to promote democracy, justice, and the rule of law, and that the formation of a law-abiding society begins with the personal responsibility of every citizen.
Students actively participated in the discussion, addressing the significance of constitutional changes, the balance of powers, and the role of legal culture and civic engagement in building a just state. The meeting was held in a constructive atmosphere and contributed to the development of legal awareness among young people.
