Educational Visit of Students to Juvenile Medium-Security Facility № 11
As part of the educational program for the 6B042 “Law” major, informational visits were organized for students to Juvenile Medium-Security Facility № 11 located in Almaty (hereinafter referred to as the Facility)
On November 12, 2025, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor E.A. Umurzakov, along with senior lecturers I.S. Amreeva and A.O. Madzigon, conducted an introductory tour for third-year students. During the visit, the students received a general understanding of the Facility’s structure and operations, the detention regime, the organization of the educational and upbringing process, as well as the preparation of juvenile offenders for release and subsequent resocialization.
On November 13, 2025, a field practical session on the discipline “Criminal Executive Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan” was conducted for fourth-year students under the supervision of Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor E.A. Umurzakov, and Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor A.K. Batyrbayev. This visit was more in-depth: students not only viewed the specialized Facility but also studied the conditions of detention for juveniles isolated from society, and familiarized themselves with the educational and upbringing process for juveniles serving sentences. Additionally, the Facility’s administration held a career guidance session with the students regarding future employment in the criminal-executive system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The field sessions provided students with practical insight into how juvenile offenders serve criminal sentences in places of deprivation of liberty.
