Debate on the Topic: “Current Issues in Family Law”

ByAdministrator4/29/2026

On April 27, 2026, the Academic School “Law” held student debates dedicated to current issues in family law. The event was attended by 2nd–3rd year students majoring in Law, as well as the school’s faculty members.

The debates became an important platform for professional and academic dialogue, allowing participants to discuss contemporary challenges and trends in the development of family legislation.

During the discussion, key aspects of the legal regulation of family relations were examined, including:

  • restriction or deprivation of parental rights: protection of the child’s interests or interference in family life;

  • prenuptial agreement: a tool of legal protection or a sign of mistrust in marriage;

  • recognition of de facto marriages (cohabitation) at the legislative level — arguments “for” and “against.”

The participants demonstrated a high level of preparation, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to defend their positions with well-reasoned arguments.

The debates confirmed the importance of an interdisciplinary approach and the active involvement of young people in discussing legal issues of significant public importance.

The organizers express their gratitude to all participants for their professionalism, substantive contributions, and the respectful nature of the dialogue.
