Q University Employees Took Part in the 2025 Hackathon “Universities of Kazakhstan – Drivers of the Country’s Development”
From January 29 to 31, 2025, Astana hosted the 2025 Hackathon “Universities of Kazakhstan – Drivers of the Country’s Development”, which brought together top managers of Kazakhstani universities and representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Q University took an active part in this large-scale event aimed at developing strategies for the development of higher education in Kazakhstan.

Hackathon 2025 has become a unique platform for generating ideas, exchanging experiences and testing new strategic solutions in the format of the simulation game “FuturEdu Strategy Simulation”, developed by the Moscow School of Management “Skolkovo”. During the event, the participants formed new directions for the development of universities in accordance with national priorities, studied the relationships between government objectives, innovation policy and operational processes, and strengthened their skills in making strategic decisions based on analytical data and performance metrics.

Representatives of Q University actively participated in the work on the key tasks of the hackathon: research management, development of innovation activities, international cooperation and the human resources potential of universities. Participation in the hackathon allowed our team to better understand the mechanisms for integrating university strategies with government policy, as well as find new ways to improve the financial stability and competitiveness of the university.

On January 31, the defense of the developed strategies for the next three years took place. Q University presented its concept of sustainable development aimed at strengthening the position of the university in the educational, scientific and international environment.
